You know you need to write a blog – it’s good for brand awareness, it’s good for Marketing, it’s great for SEO. But where do you start?

Types of Post
There are loads. Interview post; How-To post; Behind the Scenes post; Embed & React post; Stats post just to name a few. We’ve linked recent examples we’ve posted to these different formats but to get our full list of Types of Post, ensure you download our Content Planner template.
There are 4 ways you can post. And you should use them all or a good mix of them at least. Video, Images, Audio and Text. Ensuring you have a good mix means your readers won’t get board. Plus, not everyone likes reading, some people prefer to watch stuff, others like an infographic. So to be sure you’re supplying something for everyone, our Top Tip is to ensure you try them all!
Ideally you want to be looking to write a blog every few days and store them but but look at posting frequently, like twice a week. Ideally on the same days and times each week.
The frequency of the posts tells Google that you are alive! That is current, fresh and an up and functioning business. A site that hasn’t had any content posted to it for sometime or any links regularly being directed to and click on is going to send your site on a slow road south – that is in a downwards direction in the search engine listings not a trip to Southern Spain!
So, now you’ve got the building blocks to make a start. Go write a blog! No excuses. Take the first step and get our Content Planner template and start drafting your plan. And remember, when you do write a blog, tell everyone. Use all your social platforms to share the link to your post. And while your at it you can even add in a Facebook Pixel code into the header so you can track the metrics of the visitors reading your blog who are coming from facebook which you can harness at another time. That’s something we’ll come back to another day. Want to receive notifications of all of our posts and news? Then subscribe below!
