This blog looks at all the ingredients you need for a successful Event Launch for your new website!
You’ve worked hard developing your new website and launch day is fast approaching! Got a plan? Having a party? Making sure it goes with a bang and everyone knows about it? Not thought about it? Well here’s our Launch Party Checklist to help you because after all your hard work you want to make sure everyone knows you are LIVE!
Find a great location – your offices are a good start if you want to show people more of who you are and where you are but only if you’ve got the space. If not, don’t worry. Budget friendly options are out there if you need (schools or community halls) or you can go all out and hire a room at a hotel. Why not explore avenues amongst current clients first of all. It could be a good opportunity to help your clients grow too!
Invite the right guests – As much as you want your launch party to be about thanking your team for pulling together and creating your website masterpiece, it’s important that your launch event is about generating new leads too! So be sure to invite previous customers and their friends as well as people you’d like to work with! Place a call to action button put on your sites holding page to get them to register for the event.
Tunes! – Yep, you need it. No party has quite the right atmosphere without some music so whether you know a local band who want some exposure, a vocalist perhaps or even a DJ be sure your party has the rhythm and vibe to reflect you!
A great bar – It doesn’t need to be staffed with a Tom-Cruise-alike Cocktail throwing superhuman but you do need somewhere for your guests to congregate and enjoy some refreshment. Quick serving pre-made drinks like jugs of Pimms and Punch go down well to keep everyone topped up and prevent queuing!
Eats – If there’s drink, there needs to be eats! It’s just sensible plus you don’t want your guests leaving thinking you weren’t very good hosts. It leaves a bad taste (no pun intended – make sure your nibbles are super scrummy!).
Need ideas? Pinterest is a great place to start, especially if you are looking to go that extra mile and theme your event!
Fun-times – If you’re in the business of entertainment then this will be an easy one for you, if not then you’ll need to get your thinking caps on – try and install an activity for your guests to participate in either all together or a couple at a time throughout your event. Something fun and memorable that they’ll talk about after the event. With everyone posting everything they do on social media, if you can generate a talking point then you’ve got yourself some additional post event advertisement which is exactly what you’re after!
In our final post in this Launch event series we’ll be talking about Getting Clear on Your Event’s Vision so be sure to sign up below so you don’t miss it!
